About APT

Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT) is a therapeutic clinic practice providing services for children with special needs in Metro Louisville, Lexington and Southern IN. APT was founded in October, 2007,  by Renea Sageser, who was then a stay-at-home mom. We officially opened our first clinic’s doors  in January, 2008, in Shelbyville, KY.  In 2008, we had six part-time employees and today, we are over 150 employees strong and growing.  APT  focuses on opening clinics in rural areas so children may receive the quality of services they need closer to their home.

APT’s strength is being 100% family focused. We focus on the whole family, from the patient to each employee. We pride ourselves on the overall culture we have established and align it with our company’s mission “Advancing Patients to their next Therapeutic level.”  Some examples include: internal mentorships for new employees, flexible hours, team building, monthly fellowships, childcare on site, and family training and support groups for patients.

Our unique appeal is we offer multiple pediatric services to the patient and family in a team approach. We also strive to provide therapy in a variety of locations that are appealing to the patient and family. We love partnering with other pediatric facilities, such as All About Kids and The Kidz Club, in order to provide therapy in a fun and rewarding environment where the child can feel normal.  As a result, our patients love to come to therapy.

Over the past few years, both Renea and APT have been honored for the quick growth of our company. We humbly share these honors with our patients.

Our Mission:

  • To Advance Patients to their next Therapeutic Level.
  • To conduct family-centered therapy with honesty, empathy, and professional integrity and to treat others with sensitivity and respect for all areas of diversity.
  • To offer flexible employment opportunities.
  • To challenge ourselves as professionals to advance to the next level within our scope of practice.
  • To build a strong business that is an active corporate citizen in our community.

We are very excited to serve the families of  Kentucky and Southern Indiana! Find our full list of  locations here.
